Today's Cut 🚜

One photo off the machine every day we're pushing dirt — the cut, the fill, the pad we handed over this afternoon. Shot on the phone, up in ten seconds, no filter.

What we move

Six ways we change the shape of your ground

If the dirt is wrong, everything built on top of it is wrong. That's the whole business.

01

Building Pads & Site Prep

Cut, fill and compact a pad to the elevation on the plan, staked and shot so the slab crew has nothing to argue with when they show up. From $4,800

02

Land Clearing & Brush

Cedar, scrub and old fence rows taken off the ground and hauled or burned — cleared without tearing up the topsoil you actually want to keep. From $1,900/acre

03

Pond Digs & Dam Work

New ponds cored and keyed into clay so they hold water, plus dam repair and spillway cutting on the ones that don't. Custom quote

04

Driveways & Culverts

Long drives cut, crowned and rocked, with the culvert sized to the ditch so the first four-inch rain doesn't take the whole thing out. From $3,200

05

Grading & Drainage

Regrading that pushes water away from the house instead of into it — swales, berms, finish grade and a lot that drains the way it should. From $2,400

06

Demolition & Haul-Off

Old barns, sheds, slabs and foundations broken out, loaded and gone. Site left clean, level and ready for whatever comes next. From $2,800

Job sites

Cut, fill, and a clean finish grade

Sites around the metro and out on acreage. Most of these were shot from the drone before we pulled off.

Who's on the machine

The man who quotes it is the man who runs it.

Wade Coker started with a used dozer and a gooseneck trailer in 2011, cutting driveways out past Yukon on weekends while he worked days for somebody else. The iron is bigger now. The way we quote hasn't changed — we walk the ground with you, shoot the grades, and hand you one number.

Most of our work is acreage: pads for shop buildings, ponds that actually hold, drives that survive a spring storm. Nobody sees a foot of it once the concrete goes down, which is exactly why we don't cut corners on it.

Why Blackland

The grade is the whole job

Four things that decide whether dirt work holds up or washes out.

01

Shot, not eyeballed

Grades are laser-set and checked twice. The pad is the elevation we said it was.

02

Our iron, our operator

Nothing subbed out to a mystery crew. The person who quoted it is the person in the seat.

03

Built for a spring storm

Drainage designed for the rain that actually falls here, not for a fair-weather week in October.

04

One number, walked first

We walk the site with you before quoting, so nothing turns into an extra halfway through.
